A vacation to Disney World often involves accommodations at a nearby Disney Resort. There are several to choose from. You can’t go wrong with any of them as Disney is synonymous with quality and their resorts are no different.
However, each resort offers its own benefits and themes and there is likely one best for you or your family. Learn more about some of the best Disney resorts in Florida …
OUR FAVORITE DISNEY RESORTS
Here are our five favorite Disney resorts:
The Polynesian is the premiere Disney resort. It isn’t as family-focused as some of the other options and cost is higher than the others too but the main benefit of this resort is its location. The Polynesian is extremely close to The Magic Kingdom and is on the main monorail route with access to all of the Disney theme parks nearby.
ANIMAL KINGDOM LODGE
The Animal Kingdom Lodge is near Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park and the resort itself has a safari theme with African architecture and wide open spaces for kids to run and roam. If you plan to visit Disney’s Animal Kingdom multiple times this might be your best option for the convenience.
DISNEY’S CONTEMPORARY RESORT
This is one of our favorite Disney’s resorts due primarily to its location. You can walk right across the street and be at the front entrance of The Magic Kingdom and the monorail runs right through the center of the resort. The prices are more affordable than The Polynesian and there are several delicious restaurants inside to dine at.
DISNEY’S ART OF ANIMATION RESORT
This is the most family-friendly of the Disney resort options due to its prices and cartoon theme. There is a Little Mermaid area, Lion King area, Finding Nemo area and Cars area and the rooms sleep up to six people too. Rooms include microwaves and mini kitchens too should the cost of food at the resort or theme parks start to become too expensive.
DISNEY’S GRAND FLORIDIAN
This resort is the other luxury option in comparison to The Polynesian. Disney’s Grand Floridian features a 5-star, AAA restaurant in it as well as a spa and direct access to the monorail. This is for adults looking to escape to Disney World for the weekend. We’re all still kids at heart, right?
There are a few more Disney resorts to choose from but these are often the five most popular. For a family trip, we would recommend either Disney’s Contemporary resort or Disney’s Art of Animation resort and for adults we recommend Disney’s Grand Floridian.
